Maintenance Tips

It is important to properly care for your ratchet straps.  To help prolong the life of your straps, please follow the tips below:

Storing Straps

• Make sure straps are dry BEFORE storing

• Always remove webbing from handles when storing

• Wrap webbing around the ratchet and secure it with a rubber band

• Always store your straps in dry storage (inside building or toolbox)
   

Lubricating Ratchets

• To prolong the life of your ratchets, be sure to lubricate ratchets with a dry silicone spray or industrial lubricating oil 

• Use lubricant carefully and sparingly

• Avoid spraying lubricant on the webbing
